Israel Cruz is a Filipino-Australian artist who had a string of R&B flavoured hits in the early 2000s, including Old Skool Luv and My Girl (which was later covered by Korean pop band BIGBANG).
His career as a singer however has taken a backseat in recent years for production; he has produced several hit singles for Aussie pop stars including Stan Walker, Ricki Lee and Jessica Mauboy.
This year however, he returns as a solo artist with this dance-laden track Party Up:
It's very reminiscent of Jason Derulo and LMFAO. I have to say though that I'm not a fan. The song and video is very try hard.
Sorry. Please keeping co-producing songs like Saturday Night for Jessica Mauboy instead.
