All We Have / Natalie Bassingthwaighte: The Video

Attention Jessica Mauboy, Australian pop stars can produce decent video clips that don't look like they were created on iMovie. Go Nat! I think I like this song now.

All We Have / Natalie Bassingthwaighte: A Brief Review

I don't like it! I'm sorry Nat. It sounds like a reject Havana Brown song. It's definitely no Alive.

The lyrics are so lame:
"Can’t help but feel amazing
The way the beats are banging
I feel the rhythm in my system
And I’m not complaining
...
I’m a dance freak, dance freak"

:/
Don't worry Nat. You're still my favourite X Factor judge.

You can listen to the preview of Nat's new song here:

It begins...The X Factor Australia pits judges against each other

Simon Cowell must have a rule that every X Factor judging panel needs a bitter and public catfight to drum up hype and controversy. It would explain why Mel B is now attacking her fellow X Factor Australia judges ahead of the show's Monday night premiere.

Mel B calls Ronan Keating a know-it-all, Natalie Basswingthiforgethowtospellhername "dishonest" and Guy Sebastian as "boring". Now we know why she was Scary Spice...

Let's face it though, the hype for the show this year has already been more entertaining than the entire last season altogether. Natalie Imbruglia never measured up to be Australia's answer to Dannii Minogue, Cheryl Cole or even Sharon Osbourne. She was just too dull and irrelevant to be any of them. It's like eating a block of butter and pretending its cheese. Kyle Sandilands was vile as a mentor. Glad they're both gone.

All the ShockNL Faves are nominated at the Kids Choice Awards!

Well I guess that figures it...the average age of ShockNL readers is like 12 or something, because every topic and star I've written about has been nominated for Australia's most prestigious award -- the 2011 Nickelodeon Kid Choice Awards.

Must be the juvenile bitchiness.

Let's see the nominees:

Kerri Anne Kennerley

Nominated for the "Awesome Oldie" award.

Australia's television queen is up against Karl Stefanovic, David Koch and Matt Preston.

Jennifer Hawkins

Nominated for the "Awesome Aussie" award.

Former Miss Universe Jennifer is randomly up for this award against Chris Hemsworth, Rove McManus and Cody Simpson. Reeks of her PR team!

Natalie Bassingthwaite

Nominated for the "Hall of Slime" award.

Natalie Bassingthwaite has to face Rove McManus, Bindi and Robert Irwin and fellow X Factor judge Guy Sebastian.

Lady GaGa

Nominated for the "Fave International Artist" award.

GaGa verses Willow Smith, Bruno Mars and Katy Perry.

Price Tag / Jessie J

Nominated for the "Fave Song" award.

Party Rock Anthem / LMFAO, Louder / Stan Walker, Whip My Hair / Willow Smith are her contenders.

Jessica Mauboy

Nominated for the "Fave Aussie Muso" award.

Hmm..she's up against Jack Vidgen, Cody Simpson and Justice Crew. To be honest the word "muso" hardly describes any of them.

Natalie Bassingthwaighte is no Paula Abdul

Natalie Bassingthwaighte is many things: a pop singer, an actress and a new mum. But one thing she isn't apparently is a ditzy, nice judge.

The 35 year old says:
"I'm a nice person, I'm not a nasty person, but I'm not going to say (singers) are not terrible, if they are terrible, because I'm going to look like an idiot".

That is refreshing news. The X Factor was so dire last year, I couldn't be bothered to watch. Not when you read gossip about the UK version and the drama surrounding Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue. All we had was Natalie Imbruglia who was - let's face it - too boring and down to earth to be the sole female judge. You need some glamazon, uber diva if you're going to slot one sole woman on the panel.

Thankfully, the producers have realised this and hired Mel B and Natalie (Bassingthwaighte, that is) as new judges. The X Factor sorely lacked any buzz last year. It needs more controversy each week, like Masterchef has had the past few months its been on air.

Oh and if you don't know who Nat Bass is...she's the original singer of Katy Perry's Firework. Back when it was titled Someday Soon:
