Cate Blanchett sells herself...for charity

Cate Blanchett is auctioning herself! But no, she hasn't hit skid-row...it's all in the name of charity. Four lucky people will get to have lunch with the Australian thespian as part of the annual Oasis Ball in Sydney.

Hmmm...if I had lunch with Cate, what would i ask? I think on top of my list would be asking her what she thinks about the nickname "Carbon Cate", which people have dubbed her following her appearance in the Australian government pro-carbon tax advertisements. Or maybe I'd ask what she thinks of Opposition Leader Tony Abbott and his jab at her, when he argued that she is irrelevant to everyday Australians on this controversial political issue:

"You do not give special weight to celebrities,'' he said. ''You do not give special weight to people who live half the year in Hollywood where there is no carbon tax.''
