We're talking about the AFI Awards here -- the world's most prestigious cinematic trophy in Australasia that has been won by cinema greats including Nicholas Hope (Bad Boy Bubby)...
The awards have now been sexed up and revamped as the AACTAs - the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts.
Key changes include that the awards show will now air in January to align with Hollywood's award season. A new gold statuette will be the award given out.
However, the actual Australian Film Institute will remain. Toni Collette can rest easy and stop thinking about throwing her numerous AFI Awards away completely...
