Australia's Queen of Pop, Kylie, still trying to hawk Aphrodite

Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love), the fourth single from Kylie's underrated album Aphrodite, is currently at number 10 this week on Billboard's Dance Songs. The other singles from the album have all gone number one on that chart, so "Hands" has a lot of live up to.

Unfortunately though the same can't be said for her on the actual pop charts. Even in her homeland Australia, Kylie's singles have stalled. Hands was positively a chart success here, peaking at #50. Her previous singles Get Outta My Way and Better Than Today peaked at #69 and #55 respectively.

The marketing and promotion was to blame. Everything she and her team did - from the bland videos to the traditional way of releasing singles, was irrelevant and ... old-fashioned. Sorry Kylie.

It's hard to believe that we live in a world where the most relevant Kylie is Kylie Kardashian.
